CEBU CITY, Philippines – The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) donated 173 brand new computers to the Department of Education (DepEd) Lapu-Lapu City Division on Friday for use in the city’s 44 public elementary and 25 high schools.
“Let these computers be an instrument in raising the bar of competence in each of them (students) so that they will be at par with those in the private schools and institutions,” said Mayor Paz Radaza in an interview during the turnover ceremony on Friday afternoon held at the Hoopsdome.
City Schools Superintendent Marilyn Andales said that the availability of the computers is expected to enhance their students access to technology.
