When one mentions the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi), one name immediately comes to mind — Felix “Boy” Tiukinhoy.
The long time Cesafi commissioner is credited as the man behind the success of Cebu’s premier inter-collegiate basketball league which has produced some of the country’s best athletes.
Tiukinhoy is also spearheading the Cesafi into the millennium by focusing on promoting the league more in the newest digital platform — the social media, highlighting not only the sporting events but as well as the academics and cultural competitions.
As big as his role is with the Cesafi, believe it or not, Tiukinhoy’s everyday life is as normal as yours and mine. Just like many of us Cebuanos, he, too, likes having “ginabot” (fried pork intestines) at side street food stalls and enjoys watching Korean drama television shows.
