MANILA, Philippines – Most of the country will have warm weather as the effects of the northeast monsoon will be limited to extreme northern Luzon on Sunday.
Pagasa said in its 4 a.m. weather report that Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands would have cloudy skies with light rain due to the monsoon or hanging amihan.
No flashfloods or landslides could be expected from the weather condition, the weather bureau said.
Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz said the amihan would prevail in the next 24 to 36 hours after which the ridge of a high-pressure area would affect a large portion of Luzon and prevent the formation of clouds.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers but due to localized thunderstorms. /cbb
