INTRODUCING A SLEEK CREDIT CARD WITH NO NUMBERS, JUST YOUR NAME

The Apple Card says plastic isn’t fantastic anymore

Today’s Instagram scroll gives us a glimpse of how tech giant Apple goes forward into the finance world with Apple Card. “A new kind of credit card. Created by Apple, not a bank.” It’s an apt description as the card promises to improve spending with existing digital advances.

You can see this with how the security features are integrated into your phone. Face ID, Touch ID, unique transaction codes are what makes the card secure. It’s a credit card that does away with the actual card. But if you do need it, the titanium card features no numbers in the front and in the back. All that information can be found in your Wallet app.

Features also include how the Apple Card makes Apple Pay easier. This makes buying stuff on your phone more convenient. Purchases can be tracked exactly as it will even show it to you on a map. All purchases are automatically categorized, so your budget concerns can be seen quickly.

Perks include Daily Cash. This is a percentage you get back with every Apple Card transaction. On the website, it’s promised that Daily Cash is actual cash you can transfer to a bank account, use for other shopping needs, or to pay for your card balance. With the Apple Card, the computation as to how much interest you’ll be paying if you don’t pay the entire balance is shown to you. Hence, it’s a card that actually encourages you to pay less interest.

Created with Mastercard, the Apple Card can be used globally. Too bad though because as of press time, you can only apply for the Apple Card if you’re in the US. But with the universality of the iPhone and Mac’s technologies, we don’t see how it can reach different shores soon.
