Cebu City, Philippines — The Sherilin Warriors continued their last ditch effort to make it to the Final Four as they won over JEPS Merchandise, 81-65, in the Duterte Basketball League on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the Capitol Parish Gym.

Point guard Jabby Bautista and burly wingman Mark Panerio starred for the squad of businessman Richard Mercado as the former scored 26 points while the latter added 13 to help the Warriors go up to 4-3 (win-loss) with just two more games remaining in the elimination round. They are currently at fourth place in the standings.

Only the top four finishers are moving on to the semifinals.

Meanwhile, H&G remained unbeaten at 7-0 with a 102-86 thrashing of EVO.

Noel Torrefiel led the squad in scoring with 18 points while Allan Ger Sala put up 13.

The defending champions Lycans and Penthel remain tied for third place at 5-2 after they blew away their respective opponents on Sunday.

Ex-University of Cebu big man Ruben Ludovice put up 29 points in the lopsided win.
