MANILA, Philippines – Teen actor McNeal “Awra” Briguela, on Friday proudly announced that his father, Oneal Brian has graduated from college with his support and his dad’s perseverance.
Briguela happily shared a photo from his father’s the graduation rites in an Instagram post on Friday.
“Congrats papa! So proud of you!! Sabi nga nila ‘its better than late, than never,’” Briguela wrote as caption.
“Kaming lahat ng anak mo sobrang saludo sayo! Kase pinakita mo samen kung gaano kahalaga ang pag aaral! I love you papa!! Congrats ulet!” Briguela added.
Comedian-actor Ogie Diaz shared the same photo via his Instagram page and congratulated Briguela for helping his father graduate from college.
“Karaniwan nang kwento na ang magulang ay nakapagpatapos ng anak sa kolehiyo. Sa larawang ito, gusto kong batiin si Awra (ng Ang Probinsiyano), dahil napagtapos niya ang kanyang ama sa kolehiyo,” Diaz wrote.
“Congrats, Awra!!!! At ipagpatuloy mo ang kabutihan mo bilang isang anak. Isa kang inspirasyon,” he added.
In a 2017 television interview, Oneal Brian revealed that his son was financing his studies: “Parang siya na po yung nagpapa-aral sa akin. Baliktad na.”
Briguela is most known for his role as MakMak in ABS-CBN’s teleserye “Ang Probinsyano.” /gsg
