Cebu City, Philippines —Cebuana singer Golden Cañedo will join other Kapuso stars for a show at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York City on May 11, 2019.
GMA Network’s official Instagram account announced on April 16 that “Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn” will also have Alden Richards, Julie Anne San Jose, Christian Bautista, Kyline Alcantara, Rayver Cruz, and Alberto “Betong” Sumaya Jr.
“Heto ang mga Kapuso stars na magpe-perform at makakasama natin sa that Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn,” the post reads.

Prior to this post, Cañedo already gave hints to her fans that she will have her first international show.
The 17-year-old Minglanilla native uploaded a video on her Instagram account singing her single, “Tayo Pa Rin.”
Beside Cañedo is Kapuso singer Garrett Bolden who asked, “Oh, practice ka ng practice. Nag pre-prepare ka ba sa Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn?”
(You keep on practicing. Are you preparing for the Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn?)
“Oo naman kuya siyempre kasi first time ko makapunta sa ibang bansa at mag perform doon,” she answered.
(Yes, because this is my first time to perform outside the country.)
Cañedo rose to fame when she won, “The Clash”, a singing competition in GMA Network hosted by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez in September 2018.
On October 16, 2018, she signed a contract with GMA Artist Center.
At present, she is one of the regular performers in Studio 7, a Sunday musical variety show of Kapuso Network. /bmjo
