Cebu City, Philippines—The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) secondary football team settled for silver in the secondary football competition of the ongoing Palarong Pambansa in Davao City.
The CVIRAA team, whose core is composed of booters from the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), bowed to Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA), 1-2, late Friday night, May 3, 2019.
Kenneth Ace Niaga scored the first goal of the match when he converted a free kick.
Western Visayas, however, scored an equalizer in the 47th minute and the game-winner in the 51st minute.

Aside from USJ-R, the team was beefed up by players from Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), University of San Carlos (USC), Abellana National School (ANS) and Don Bosco Boys Home (DBBH).
Other Jaguars in the lineup are Dustin Drey Ramirez, Januar James Villarin, Renz Miko Murillo, Christian Vierh Agot, Jan Ian Piolo Alinsugay, Churchill Jubac, Angelo Colina, Louis Adrian Colina, Franco dela Torre, Arcangelo Manlosa, Carmelo Lim and JC Miguel Banzon.
