CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Mandaue City Ballers will not only get back their star forward Kenneth Brillo for Game 2; they will also enjoy the adulation and support of their home fans.
This, as the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) announced that Game 2 of the 2019 Governor’s Cup finals between Talisay City and Mandaue City will be on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Mandaue Sports and Cultural Complex.
It was initially announced that Game 2 will be played on Monday, May 6, at the University of San Carlos gym as Mandaue’s home gym is being used.
However, officials from Mandaue’s squad appealed to CPSC executive director, lawyer Ramil Abing, to have their game moved, a request that was subsequently granted.
Talisay City holds a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-three series after the Aquastars rallied from a double-digit deficit to stun the Mandaue City Ballers, 81-76, in Game 1 last Friday, May 3, at the Talisay City Sports Complex. / celr
