Cebu had a taste of what homegrown music feels like as The Wonggoys kicked off SM Seaside City Cebu’s “Plug and Play” event last Wednesday, May 1.
As most Cebuanos took off from work and celebrated Labor day, others who joined the event celebrated authentic local music in a close-knit set-up while the sun sets behind them as the pop-folk group serenaded the crowd.
The “Way Blema” singers, a collective moniker coined by their ever supporting mother Maricel Wong is made up of Gabriel Keith Wong (main vocals/ chief composer) and guitarists Kyle Miguel Wong and William Wong, Jr., performed their other hits like “Never Too Late” and “Chase the Girl or Rule the World” among others.
Signed under 22 Tango Records, the band has been promoting and advocating original homegrown music along with other incredible rosters of artists what will also perform at the Plug and Play.
The event happens every Wednesday for the whole month of May every 6 p.m. at the Skypark, in SM Seaside City Cebu.
Come and experience extraordinary talent and music at SM Seaside City Cebu’s Plug and Play and make this your Wednesday habit!
