Mandaue City, Cebu—The Mandaue City Ballers pulled off an amazing comeback in the second half to defeat the reigning champions Talisay City Aquastars, 94-76, in Game 2 of the 2019 Governor’s Cup basketball tournament on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.
The win tied the best-of-three series at 1-1, forcing a Game 3 to be held on Saturday, May 11, at 3 pm at the University of San Carlos gym.
Gabriel Cometa led the way for the Ballers with 23 points while Kenneth Brillo returned from a one-game suspension and had 15 points and nine boards.
