Cebu City, Philippines—Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella was proclaimed the new mayor of Cebu City on Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2019, at the Social Hall of the of the Cebu City Hall here.
Labella of Partido Barug won against incumbent Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña of the Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) in the midterm elections held last Monday, May 13, 2019. Labella got 265,436 votes while Osmeña had 246,399.
