CEBU CITY, Philippines — Chrislene Tulabing is a 4th year Bachelor of Science Information Technology student of the University of San Jose Recoletos.
But Tulabing, has gone through more than a normal child or student has ever been through as she is suffering from Liposarcoma, a rare type of cancer that begins in the fat cells and is also called a soft-tissue sarcoma.
She found out about the cancer in 2013 when she found a lump in the right side of her stomach. After undergoing medical tests, the mass in her stomach was operated on and her life returned to normal.
But after two years, she was operated again for another mass in her stomach. She has since had eight operations in six years.
In 2017, she had to undergo radiation therapy because the cancer was not responsive to treatment in her case. She had to monitored and undergo surgery if needed every six months.
Since this surgery is the only option for treatment of her cancer, this has brought difficulty financially to her family.
She describes the great challenge of battling cancer is finding funds so that she could complete the prescribed treatment — the severe the condition, the higher the cost to pay for the treatment.
Being in this situation, Tulabing is calling on people with kind hearts to help her in her fight against her cancer that she faces every day.
She asks for your kind thoughts, prayers, and donation to help her sustain her treatment for her liposarcoma.
