CEBU CITY, Philippines – – A 75-year-old man is now locked up behind bars after an 18-year-old lady complained that he groped her private parts inside a public bus.
Police Major Randy Caballes, precinct commander of Carbon Police Station, said Virgilio Quijano was brought to the police station by the security personnel of Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) around 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17.
The victim also reported to the police station along with her mother.
According to Caballes, the victim and her mother were in a bus from the City of Carcar to Cebu City when the suspect touched her private parts.
The victim thought it was just an accident but the suspect touched her again. The victim told her mother about what the man did to her.
It was the victim’s mother, who confided to the bus conductor in secret and requested for help.
The man was immediately arrested by CSBT security personnel when they arrived in Cebu City.
He was then brought to the Carbon Police Station. / celr
