Dela Rosa: ‘Senador na ako!’

MANILA, Philippines — “Masaya ako! Senador na ako!”

Senator-elect Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa expressed joy on Wednesday as he spoke briefly to the media at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

This was minutes before the proclamation of winning senatorial candidates. The program was set to start at 10 a.m.

Dela Rosa, a former police chief, placed fifth in the 2019 senatorial race. He ran under the five-man slate of the ruling party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban). (Editor: Cenon B. Bibe Jr.)
