The Cebu Korean Association will hold several events in Cebu as part of its efforts to foster closer ties between Filipinos and Koreans.
In a press briefing at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in barangay Lahug, Cebu City, Wednesday, Cebu Korean Association President Bung Hwan Cho said these activities will fuel more Korean tourist arrivals in Cebu.
He said there are 40,000 to 50,000 Koreans who visit Cebu every month while there are 42,000 Filipinos employed in Korean companies here. A sports festival is scheduled on June 8 while the President’s Cup is scheduled on June 25. There is also a tourism forum to be held this year along with the annual Cebu City Korea Day held every first of October.
