CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu-based singer Meunnie Cullantes will release her new single, “Mangundang Na ‘Ta” on August 30, Friday.

Cullantes confirmed to CDN Digital that her new song had been composed and written by Cebuano band Route 83.

“Lipay kaayo ko kay ako ilang gipili nga mo interpret sa song. This is my first time nga dili ako nag compose sa akong kanta pero I am so glad to have interpreted this song,” she said.

(I am so happy that I was chosen to interpret the song. This is my first time interpreting not my own composition, but I am so glad to have interpreted this song.)

“Mangundang Na ‘Ta” is about a girl who always hopes that man she likes will like her back.

She definitely realized her self-worth that’s why the song is entitled “Mangundang Na ‘Ta”.

Cullantes hopes that her upcoming single, “Mangundang Na ‘Ta,” can be an inspiration to people who are hurt and can remind them of their self-worth.

“If a guy is really into you, he will walk and cross extra miles for you. We do not deserve a love nga atong e question pa,” the 22-year-old singer and songwriter said.

She rose to fame because of her comical skits and started  “Mayman Ka Dhai” Facebook page with her bestfriend Steffi Jardin back in Butuan City in 2015.

Her page has 570,000 likes as of 1 p.m. of August 23, Friday.
