By: Norman V. Mendoza April 04,2014 - 08:31 AM

FOR posting a selfie photograph on the social networking site Facebook, a 20-year-old man who is wanted on the charge of abduction with rape of a minor was tracked down and later arrested by police.

Niño Cueva, a motorcycle-for-hire driver, was arrested in Bogo City by policemen from the Canduman Police Station last Saturday.

This after investigators checked his Facebook page and found a selfie of the suspect taken at the Mary’s Shrine in Bogo City.

Police said they managed to trace Cueva’s whereabouts which led to his arrest. Cueva, who is from barangay Casili, Mandaue City, was accused of raping a 17-year-old student in May 2012.

Police said the victim hired his services but instead of bringing her to her destination, he brought her to a secluded area in barangay Casili where the crime was allegedly committed.

Cueva fled and has been in hiding since then.

Cueva was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rafael Yrastorza.
