THREE persons were killed in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City.
One of the fatalities was identified as 17-year-old Paul Aguiton.
Police said Aguiton, a resident of barangay Lorega-San Miguel, and a male companion went to barangay Tejero on a motorcycle past 4 a.m. yesterday. Bursts of gunfire broke out as soon as they alighted from the motorcycle.
Aguiton and his companion tried to run for cover but a gunman caught up with them and shot the boy in the head and body.
In barangay Pasil, Rhoxalem Oguimas, a jeepney dispatcher, was walking along a road with a friend when two men on a motorcycle shot him from behind around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Oguimas was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center where he later died.
A few hours before the shooting in Pasil, Dennis Larios was gunned down inside a Chinese Cemetery in barangay Carreta.
Larios, a resident of barangay Mabolo, suffered at least three gunshot wounds in the body.
The victim was declared dead at the Chong Hua Hospital.
In barangay Gabi, Cordova town, a barangay tanod was fatally shot near his home Tuesday night.
Ernesto Bacus Rensulat, 47, died on the spot from gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
Police said the assailant wore a helmet and fled on a motorcycle.
Police are still investigating the motives behind the attacks.
