Bar passers’ oath rites moved to May 5

THE Supreme Court yesterday rescheduled the oath-taking ceremony of the 2013 bar examination passers to May 5 instead of April 28.

Supreme Court spokesman Theodore Te said the oath-taking was moved to May 5, 2 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

Te said the oath-taking was reset to give way to US President Barack Obama’s scheduled Philippine state visit on Monday.

He said there might be heavy traffic in areas leading to the PICC because of Obama’s arrival.

No fly zone

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and the Malacañang area in Manila will be a “no fly zone” for “up to 30 minutes” when US President Barack Obama arrives next week, the Civil

Aviation Authority of the Philippines said.

CAAP, however, said the policy “would not affect the operations of commercial airlines” as the passengers have been informed about the adjustments to the flight schedules.

CAAP said the “no fly zone” would be in effect when Obama arrives on April 28 and leaves on April 29.
