Two Cebuanas were given recognition in the Special Awards of the Reyna ng Aliwan Festival held at Pasay City last night.
Maria Gigante, who’s representing the Palawod festival of Bantayan, was last night’s star of the night.
Steffi Aberasturi, who represents the Sinulog Festival, was awarded best in swimsuit, best gown and dazzling beauty award. The coronation will be held tonight.
Should either of them win, it will be the sixth straight year that a Cebuana is crowned as Reyna ng Aliwan.
Last year Jaime Herrel, who represented the Sinulog Festival, won the crown
