Things you should never be ashamed of

CEBU CITY, Philippines– In our world today, there are a lot of things that can easily persuade us in thinking that we are never better than others.

More often than not, we feel ashamed of some of the things that we have because it does not level well with others.

And that has to stop. Stop feeling ashamed of some of the things you have, and don’t have, trust the process of your hustle and always put your head up.

Stop being ashamed of:

Your old things — wear those old clothes, bags, shoes and many more! Wear them because you can! Don’t be pressured in always upgrading your sense of style or your stuff just because others are doing it, keep it together!

Your parents — parents are not all the same, some are traditional, some are cool and some are just plain parents who would want nothing but the best for you. Never be ashamed in bringing them out and in bragging how your mom still cooks for you in the morning before heading to work, or how your dad still checks up on you every time you stay a bit late outside. Our parents may not be the coolest parents, but remember they are getting old, now is the time to be there for them, all the time!

Your own circle — our friends may not be as successful as others, but what better way to make your friendship stronger than growing together, right? Don’t be ashamed of them and trust their growth as they trust yours.

Loving too much — if you are in a relationship now, never be ashamed to be the person who loves more. Be proud that you’ve loved that person with all your heart. This goes to your family and friends, too.

Living a simple life — so what if you don’t have those fancy things yet? Be happy with what you have and what you don’t have. Learn to appreciate and radiate your love to a simple life to others. You’ll be surprised how simple life is better than living a big life.

Remember, to take pride in what you have and what you don’t have. Take pride in knowing that you are doing everything you can to make things work. One more thing, always remember to never be ashamed of your hustle too. /dbs
