SWU-PHINMA launches new B-School curriculum

To remain relevant in the fast-paced and complex business world, Southwestern University (SWU) PHINMA recently launched its revamped curriculum for its Business School (B-School).

Focused on real-world training, the new and improved programs of SWU-PHINMA B-School will reshape the methods business and management education is being taught in the Visayas.

Wanting to prepare its students for the global and technical trends of the business world, the B-School will provide the foundation that they need to succeed like critical and creative thinking, communication, teamwork, and collaboration.

Aside from being the lead in bringing business applications to the classroom that gives emphasis on real-world business situations, SWU PHINMA also aims to produce young men and women managers who are competently equipped to navigate today’s ever-changing corporate environment.

B-School’s new curriculum also features its Master Class Program. Industry leaders and business mentors will conduct classes in their respective fields allowing them to give students valuable advice on how to succeed not just in life but especially in the business world.

SWU PHINMA B-School is backed by PHINMA Corporation with interests in housing, construction materials, hospitality, and education.

“Because of our experience, we believe that we know business. PHINMA knows business. And because PHINMA knows business, we believe that we are probably one of the best people to teach business because we know what it is all about. For these reasons, we feel that we could do business well. That we could contribute,” said SWU-PHINMA President Dr. Chito B. Salazar during the program’s official launch on February 12, 2020.

SWU-PHINMA B-School Dean Danny Saracin said that with their new program offering, students are assured of a better understanding of the industry through case-driven, project-based, and multidisciplinary learning methods.
