Five straight wins for Big Chill in PBA D-League

THE BIG Chill Superchargers kept their lofty spot atop the league after they routed the Derulo Accelero Oilers, 75-56, for their fifth win in a row in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup yesterday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

In the first game, the Jumbo Plastic Giants, a team that did their training camp here in Cebu, breezed to their fourth win in five games after they blasted the Arellano-Air21, 81-55.

The rout was on in the second canto as the Giants outscored the Chiefs, 22-8, to erect a huge 42-23 lead at halftime.

St. Benilde star Mark Romero led the winning squad’s balanced attack with 11 points while three other players had nine markers each.

Jeckster Apinan and Janus Lozada, on the other hand, led the way for the Superchargers with 14 points each.
