Three fire incidents were recorded Monday afternoon in Metro Cebu.
A taxi cab caught fire in the vicinity of the Country Mall at 3:47 p.m. Responding firefighters from the Talamban Fire Station put out the fire by 4 p.m.
The taxi was about to exit the mall’s premises when the driver heard an explosion at the car’s back. The taxi’s LPG was believed to be the cause of fire. No injuries were reported.
In the Pepsi Cola compound in barangay Tulay in Minglanilla, a fire broke out at 2:26 p.m. According to Emmanuel Bolo of the Minglanilla Fires Station, a warehouse in the plant caught fire and was already put out.
A house in sitio Tinabangay, barangay Mambaling caught fire at 3 p.m. damaging a portion of the house. According to PO3 Diosdado Andales of the Mambaling Police Station, the fire didn’t last very long. “Gamay ra gyud to oy kay pag-abot sa mga bombero wala na man.” (It was a small fire. When firefighters arrived the fire was already controlled.)
Investigations are ongoing as to the causes of the fires.
