Argentina logs 8th win in Cecaba

WITH four players scoring in double figures, Batch 1980s/90s-A/Argentina Corned Beef handily defeated Batch 2006, 92-74, last Saturday night in the 2014 Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association (Cecaba) 13th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC Gym.
Stephen Tan fired a game-high 24 points, while point guard Joel Chan came up with yet another triple-double performance with 21 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists as Batch ‘80s/90s-A nailed its eighth win in 10 games to tie Batch 1994/The First Family Appliance Circle Corp. at second place.
Nolsie Cisneros piled up 22 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, Gino Abella also scored 22, while Junwyn Dy had 10 markers for Batch ’06, which dropped to 5-6 (win-loss).
In the other game, Batch 1997 logged its seventh win in 12 games at the expense of Batch 1998/Kaking, 64-54.
