Incest rape suspect commits suicide

An inmate accused of raping his daughter was found dead inside the restroom of a prison cell at the Lilo-an Police office.

The 49 years old was found dead with a telephone cable looped around his neck 9:28 p.m. Chief Insp. Jose Lidawa of Lilo-an Police Station said they have not seen any foul play. There were 15 inmates in the prison cell where the suicide took place.

He said suspect went to the restroom shortly after his wife visited him Thursday afternoon and he never went out. Lidawa said they noticed suspect aloft, seemingly on deep thought lately.
