A 22-YEAR-OLD painter was killed in a freak accident in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City early morning yesterday.
Police said Jun Virgil Hernan was playing basketball with friends when he lost his balance and fell to the ground.
Hernan fell unconscious after hitting his head on a bench.
He was brought to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital but was declared dead by the attending doctor.
The body will be examined to determine the cause of death, police said.
