Python captured across mall

By: Apple Ta-as June 14,2014 - 05:44 PM

An Asian python measuring around three to four meters long was captured across a mall in the North Reclamation Area, Cebu City earlier this morning.

The snake caused a commotion among the customers of an eatery near the mall upon seeing the reptile resurface on a vacant lot where an excavation is ongoing for building construction.

Dario Searez, 43-years old, captured the snake. He told Cebu Daily News the snake sustained wounds after a truck ran over it at the excavation site.

The phyton is now at the custody of Cebu City Zoo.
