Kobe Bryant lives on

CEBU CITY, Philippines— A year without the Black Mamba.

A year went by so fast and today, January 26, 2021, the world remembers NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna on their first death anniversary.

Both died in a horrific helicopter crash on January 26, 2020 in California in the United States.

As the world remembers  Bryant, his fans, friends, and family have also showed nothing but love for the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

On his first year death anniversary, the online world made sure they paid their respects to one of the greatest of all time.

Proof of this is that one of the trending topics on Twitter as of this posting is Kobe, with over 140,000 tweets.

Among those who paid their respects was the New Jersey Nets’ Kyrie Iriving, who arrived at one of their games wearing a number eight Lakers jersey.

Irving was not alone in paying his tributes to Kobe and Gianna.

A week ago, the widow of Kobe, Vanessa, took to her Instagram account and asked people to celebrate the lives of Kobe and Gianna on their death anniversary and avoid posting videos and photos of the crash.

“To everyone else, please reconsider your ‘news story’ and look at your footage through the eyes of their children, parents, spouse, siblings, and family. Celebrate their lives, not the day they lost them. In preparation of 1/26..” she captioned.

Kobe may be gone but his Mamba mentality certainly lives on in a lot of his fans.

 Black Mamba forever!
