CEBU CITY, Philippines –In just one week, police in Central Visayas reported confiscating P5.1 million worth of ‘shabu’ from operations conducted around the region.
The Police Regional Office Region 7 (PRO-7) said it conducted 101 drug operations which resulted in the arrest of 142 individuals and confiscation of an estimated 751.19 grams of ‘shabu” from February 1 to 7, 2021.
The value of the confiscated ‘shabu’ is pegged at P5,108,092.
Based on their weekly accomplishment report, the Regional Police Enforcement Unit ranked first for hauling 359.10 grams of ‘shabu’ worth P2,441,880 from three operations.
The Cebu City Police Office confiscated 277.91 grams (P1,899,788) in 27 operations while the Bohol Police Provincial Office conducted 11 operations and seized 41.21 grams of illegal drugs (P280,228).
The PRO-7 also continued its strict campaign and monitoring against illegal gambling.
In the past week, police arrested 202 individuals in 78 anti-illegal gambling operations.
