MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — The old transport terminal in Bogo City in northern Cebu will soon be converted into a commercial complex to accommodate businesses that are expected to help spur the city’s economic activities.
The P38.8 million project will consist of three commercial buildings that will be constructed at the parking area that was formerly used by tricycles for hire and is located in front of the terminal building, the city’s advisory read.
Each of the buildings will be designed to accommodate five stalls.
The main terminal building, on the other hand, will be converted into a commercial building that could accommodate 20 stalls.
On February 8, members of the Bogo City Council passed a resolution to authorize Mayor Carlo Jose Martinez to sign a contract with a private firm that will initiate project implementation.
“The Sangguniang Panlungsod resolved to restore the economic life of the old facility and transform it into a commercial complex composed of three commercial buildings, a warehouse, and the conversion of the main terminal building into a commercial building,” the city’s advisory read. /dbs
