Dalaguete, Cebu—An old man was found dead off the seawaters of Sitio Panaguikan in Barangay Tapon here at around 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
Police identified the fatality as Diosdado Cuestas Salamangca, 87, a resident of Sitio Panaguikan.
Initial investigation revealed Salamangca reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest while he was swimming. His neighbor told the police that his body was seen floating on Thursday morning.
Salamangca was rushed to Dr. Ildefonso Alcatara Hospital but was declared dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physicians.
