CEBU CITY, Philippines—The MJAS Zenith Talisay City Aquastars introduced three more players to complete their formidable roster in the upcoming Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup, which kicks off in Alcantara town, southwestern Cebu on April 9, 2021.

In their official Facebook page, the Aquastars officially welcomed ex-PBA cagers in Lester Alvarez and Jan Niccolo Jamon and ex-MPBL player Dave Moralde.

The Talisay Aquastars are touted to be the team to beat in the tournament because of highly-skilled ex-PBA and ex-MPBL players on their roster.

The Aquastars’ roster is headed by team captain, two-time PBA champion Paolo Hubalde, and multi-titled forward Val Acuña.

The Aquastars signed Alvarez, a former Adamson Soaring Falcon point guard who played for the Bulacan Kuyas in the MPBL. Barako Bull Energy Cola originally drafted him in PBA’s 2012 draft as the 15th overall pick.

Jamon, meanwhile, was drafted in the fourth round by Mahindra Floodbusters in the 2016 PBA Draft.

The former Emilio Aguinaldo College small forward also played for the Pasay City Voyagers in MPBL.

Moralde, a former UP Fighting Maroon, played for Muntinlupa Cagers in MPBL.

The rest of the Aquastars’ roster is composed of Cebuano gunner Patrick Jan Cabahug, Kevin Villafranca, Tristan Albina, Shane Menina, Joshua dela Cerna, Lugie Cuyos, Jaymar Gimpayan, Mel Francis Mabigat, Allan Dominic Santos, Lord Casajeros, Egie Boy Mojica, Steven Cudal, and Jhaymo Eguilos.

Other teams competing in the Visayas Leg are XUR Homes Realty-Eastern Samar, KCS-Mandaue City Eagles, and the ARQ Builders-Lapu-Lapu City Heroes.
