MANDAUE CITY, Philippines – Some 150 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine from the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7) had arrived at the Mandaue City District Hospital on Wednesday noon, March 10, 2021.
This is the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines for the hospital.
About 75 medical workers which the hospital has already identified will be vaccinated at 8 a.m on Thursday, March 11.
Dr. Jake Ian Seno, Officer in Charge of the city hospital said they have a total of 117 personnel who are all willing to be vaccinated.
” They (75 medical workers) are already appraised and had signed waiver for the vaccination. So dili mana siya maka allocate tanan so unahon namo ang doctors, midwife, ug nurses, so the rest ana if ever naa nay maabot nga lain that’s the time we will vaccinate all of them,” said Seno.
The vaccination would take place at the prepared tents located outside the hospital.
Subangdaku Barangay Captain Ernie Manatad, chairman of the Mandaue City COVID-19 vaccine board said they decided to use tents as there is still an ongoing renovation at the hospital.
As of the moment, Mandaue City continues to profile the priority individuals for the COVID-19 vaccination program. /rcg
