CEBU CITY, Philippines — Authorities confiscated P4.1 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two high value individuals during buy-bust operations in Cebu City and Bohol province on Friday, March 12.
At 10:30 last night in Cebu City, police caught another delivery driver with 100 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Bonifacio Street, Barangay Pari-an.
Gil Antolin Regner, 34, of Bonifacio Street, Barangay Pari-an, Cebu City, was arrested after the drugs were found in his possession, said Police Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, head of the intelligence unit of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
Caballes said that the illegal drugs taken from Regner had a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P714,000.
He said that Regner, who had been a delivery driver since September 2020, was considered a high value individual in the regional level and could dispose 200 to 300 grams of suspected shabu in a week.
He also said that they had been closely monitoring Regner for two weeks before they conducted the operation on Friday, March 12.
Regner’s arrest came after a delivery driver in Barangay Ermita in Cebu City last March 5 was arrested after he was caught with more than a kilo of suspected shabu, which was worth at least P7 million.

Regner was detained at the Pari-an Police Station pending the filing of charges.
Earlier, at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Cortes town in Bohol Province, police also arrested another high-value individual, who was caught with 500 grams of suspected shabu.
Escorba Pata, 41, of Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City in Bohol province, was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Purok 7, Barangay New Lourdes in Cortes town, Bohol police said.
Police said that the suspected shabu confiscated from Pata had a DDB value of P3.4 million.
