Enjoy summer in Brgy San Vicente, Olango Island

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – Planning a summer get away?

Don’t forget to add a visit to the Marine Sanctuary and the Pag-utlan Camp that are both located in Barangay San Vicente in Olango Island to your wish list.

A visit to these two destinations will allow you to enjoy fun under the sun, but at a very minimal cost, said Representative Paz Radaza of the lone district of Lapu-Lapu City.

How to get there? It’s easy.

Take a pump boat ride at the Angasil Port in Barangay Mactan or at the Hilton Wharf in Barangay Punta Engaño.

After 20 minutes sea trip, take a tricycle ride to Sitio Pag-utlan in Barangay San Vicente. Tricycle fare is P25 per person.

Marine Sanctuary

For a fee of P30, you will already have access to this beautiful bird sanctuary that is operated by the barangay for sightseeing and picture taking.

The sanctuary is opened from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

But if you intend to try its refreshing waters, swimming will be charged P80 per person while tables and chairs rental is pegged at P200 for a group of 10.

Activities that you can enjoy include snorkelling, fish feeding, paddle boat ride, scuba diving, island hopping and overnight camping.

Pag-utlan Camp

Radaza said that although privately owned, entrance to the Pag-utlan Camp is only pegged at P10 for day use (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and P100 for an overnight stay (check in at 8 a.m. and checkout at 10 p.m. of the following day).

They also have nipa huts for those who will be staying overnight.

Rates are below:

Small Kubo: Good for 2 (P800)

Medium Kubo: Good for 4 (P1,200)

Family Kubo: Good for 8-10pax (Php 1,500)
