UC graduate is third placer in March 2021 Physician Licensure Exams

MANDAUE CITY, Philippines — A graduate of the University of Cebu (UC) School of Medicine in Mandaue City placed third in the March 2021 Physician Licensure Examination.

CY Johann Kent J. Romuga of UC School of Medicine garnered a score of 88.42 percent, the third highest score in the exams.

He is the only graduate from a medical school in Cebu to be in the top 10 in this March 2021 Physician Licensure Examination.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Romuga placed third among the 1,234, who passed this month’s licensure exams for doctors.

The PRC also said that all three graduates of UC School of Medicine or the UC College of Medicine Foundation Inc.- Mandaue, who took the exams, passed.

According to the PRC, the March 2021 Physician Licensure Examinations was topped by Jeremiah D. Lim of the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, who garnered 89.67 percent in the exams.

Second place went to Gabrielle Paul S. Pascual also of FEU-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, who had a score of 88.75 percent in the exams.

The other topnotchers in this month’s doctor’s board exams are Kristian Leonard Orante of the University of the Philippines (4th placer – 87.83 percent), Ace William G. Pasion of the Angeles University Foundation (5th placer-87.33 percent), Vanda Charisse C. Dejolde of the Advent University of the Philippines (6th placer – 87.17) and Dane Mikhael S. Calica of St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha (7th placer-87.08).

Jannie Leah P. Miedes of Davao Medical School Foundation got the eight spot in the exams with an 87 percent score while Jayme B. Quindara of the Mariano Marcos State University – Batac landed in 9th place with a score of 86.92 percent. 

Scorch Dominique N. Roldan of FEU-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation is the 10th placer in the exams with a score 86.17 percent.
