CEBU CITY, Philippines — A 17-year-old boy was killed by a still unidentified gunman in Barangay Consolacion in Dalaguete, Cebu.
The shooting incident happened at the waiting shed of Barangay Consolacion at about 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, said Police Master Sergeant Arnold Frenal, the desk officer of the Dalaguete Police Station.
Frenal said that the minor was seated on a wooden bench at the waiting shed when he was shot on the left portion of his forehead.
The victim died before reaching the hospital.
Frenal said they continue to investigate the shooting incident to especially determine what the victim was doing in the area and in order to identify his gunman.
Dalaguete police are looking at personal grudge as a possible motive in the killing of the minor.
Frenal said they are looking at the possibility that the victim’s murder was related to an argument that he had last year with a still unidentified man.
The victim lives with his sister in Barangay Consolacion. Their mother is working abroad and their father had already died. / dcb
