Pagasa: Fair Thursday weather with isolated rain showers, cloudy skies

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country due to two weather systems, the state weather bureau said Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The easterlies, or warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean will prevail in Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Sorsogon, Surigao, Dinagat Island, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi,the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The northeast monsoon will bring rains over cloudy skies with light rains to Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated  rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides are possible in rain-affected areas.

Extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
