P-Noy confirms approval of P12.2B rehab funds for Cebu, provinces hit by Yolanda

President Benigno Aquino III announced the approval of the rehabilitation plan for areas affected by supertyphoon Yolanda that includes Cebu, Iloilo, Eastern Samar and Leyte during his State of the Nation Address today.

Aquino approved the implementation of the P12.2 billion rehabilitation plans for Cebu more than nine months after Yolanda hit northern Cebu and neighboring provinces in the Visayas.

Rehabilitation czar Sec. Panfilo Lacson told Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III that the funds requested can finally be released by the Department of the Budget Management (DBM) for implementation.
