Australia and New Zealand Education exhibition set on August 10

The Australia and New Zealand Education Exhibition 2014 (ANZ 2014) will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu City on Sunday, August 10. The exhibition and accompanying seminars will be on from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is free.

The exhibition is among a host of student services offered by IDP Education Pty., Ltd. (IDP), the world’s largest student placement services provider and co-owner of the globally-recognized International English Language Testing System (IELTS), through IDP Philippines.

IDP Philippines holds at least two major education exhibitions yearly to provide students with a broad venue for choosing academic programs and institutions abroad, depending on their individual study and career goals.

ANZ 2014 will also be at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City on August 9 and at the Marco Polo Plaza, Davao City on August 11.

ANZ 2014 is this year’s second big event for IDP Philippines bringing together representatives of a mix of universities and colleges and technical and further education (TAFE) institutions with a wide range of academic programs on offer – six-month to two-year certificate courses, undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. There are programs in the culinary arts, hospitality sector, humanities and the arts, business management and commerce, information technology and innovation, the sciences, healthcare, communications, education, engineering and other disciplines.

Representatives of the embassies of Australia and New Zealand will be conducting special seminars to guide students through the requirements of applying for and acquiring their student visas.

Student visas in both countries allow students to take paid jobs for up to 40 hours every two weeks during the school term and unrestricted hours during scheduled course breaks. If one completes at least a two-year bachelor, master or PhD program, he may be eligible to the Post-Study Work Stream of the Temporary Graduate visa and extend his stay to gain practical experience in his field of specialization.

Australia is the world’s third most popular destination for international students. New Zealand is an emerging player. Both offer international students the best options, from reasonable costs to rich cultural diversity, international student-oriented and high-quality educational experience, engaging lifestyles and stunning natural sceneries.

IDP has placed more than 100,000 students from the Philippines in various institutions in Australia and other destinations since the Philippine office opened in 1985. Each year, IDP processes the applications of some 32,000 students for admission in different academic institutions worldwide.

IDP is a preferred service provider because it offers the services of its highly-qualified education counsellors for free. The counsellors, all graduated from degree programs under the Australian education system, are considered Qualified Education Agent Counselors, each having finished the Education Agent Training Course.

The IDP counsellors provide advice and guidance every step of the way. They enable students to make intelligent choices with updated information on programs, institutions, laws affecting international students and documentary requirements and board and lodging. They assist in admissions applications and help in visa application lodgment as well as pre-departure briefings.

IDP counsellors will be providing assistance at the ANZ 2014. Students who wish to visit the exhibition are advised to pre-register through www.philippines.idp.com/ANZ2014 or call the IDP Cebu office at (032) 2362758 for more information.
