Championship games in basketball today

The battle for supremacy in the secondary and elementary division of basketball in the 19th Milo Little Olympics Visayas Eliminations will be held today at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) gymnasium in Canduman, Mandaue City.

The University of San Carlos (USC)-Passerelle and the University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers will meet at 9:45 a.m. today for the secondary division championship battle.

USC-Pasarelle barged to the finals with a dominant 87-44 victory over the Compostela National High School last Sunday.

The Baby Lancers, on the other hand, advanced after scoring a 59-45 win over SHS-AdC  in the semifinals.

USC will also be seeing action in the elementary division finals, facing off against hosts SHS-AdC.  The elementary finals will be held earlier at  8:30 a.m. at the same venue.

The University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters are currently leading in the secondary division standings after gathering a total of 50 points while defending champion USC-Basic Education Department (BED) is at second place with 33 points at the end of the second day and after final results in gymnastics, sepak takraw and swimming came in.

The elementary division is as close as it can get after defending champion USC-BED and SHS-AdC are locked atop the points ladder with 35 each. The points sources of both teams came from athletics, swimming and gymnastics.

Asian College of Technology is close at second place with 34 points.
