TWO lending collectors reported to the police that they were robbed at gunpoint in barangay Guadulupe, Carcar City, southern Cebu.
Arnel Lorde and Glen Gomez, workers of Casablanca Lending Inc., said P25,000 in collection money was taken from them.
The two workers said they had just completed a round of collection when they were robbed past 7 p.m. Monday. They said four men on two separate motorcycles blocked and pointed guns at them and held them up.
The robbers also took the workers’ motorcycle.
Chief Insp. Teodulfo Manatad III, chief of Carcar police, said an investigation is ongoing to determine if the robbery was an inside job.
Manatad said police had advised lending firms to avoid making rounds of collection at night time.
