CEBU CITY, Philippines—Sanman Boxing Gym’s John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde will return to the United States to face an unbeaten opponent on November 13, 2021.
The hard-hitting Moralde will face the unbeaten William “Camaron” Zepeda of Mexico at the Honda Center in Los Angeles, California.
Sanman Boxing Promotions has yet to announce if the bout will be a non-title or a title bout.
It’s been a year since Moralde last fought in the United States.
The last time he fought there, he came up short when he lost to Jose Enrique Durantes Vivas via technical knockout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Moralde is once again expected to face an acid test as he takes on Zepeda, who has an unblemished record of 23 wins with 21 knockouts.
The 25-year-old Zepeda of San Mateo Atenco in Mexico is the reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas lightweight champion.
Moralde, from Davao City, is now in the United States training alongside fellow Sanman Boxers in WBC interim bantamweight world champion Reymart Gaballo, Romero Duno, and Mark Bernaldez.
