A fire hit 15 houses at barangay Bankal near the Mactan Cebu International airport at past 8 p.m. yesterday.
The fire was placed under control at 8:29 p.m. and was extinguished at 10:30 pm. The homes were made of light materials, SFO3 Ignacio Dañosos said.
Damages amounted to P200,000.
While witnesses say a lightning struck an electrical post, fire fighters believe it was an electrical short circuit that caused the fire.
