A man was killed while two others were wounded in separate shooting incidents in barangay Liboron, Carcar City, southern Cebu.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the two attacks.
Police identified the fatality as Melchor Pantilgan, who was into selling coconut lumber.
Police said Pantilgan was killed past 10 p.m. Thursday while he was heading home aboard a habal-habal (motorcycle-for-hire) driven by Delimer Navarro, 54.
Police said a motorcycle with two men drove beside Pantilgan and fired shots at the victim, who died on the spot.
Navarro was also critically wounded. Some resident brought him to the hospital.
Police said the motorcycle used by the assailants had no plate number.
Recovered from the crime scene were seven empty shells for a 9mm caliber pistol and three slugs believed to be from a KG9 sub-machine pistol, said police.
The second attack in Liboron took place at 10:50 a.m. yesterday.
