Caniga Jr. and his team also conducts free MMA clinic every Saturday morning at the Cebu City Sports Institute. Hayco will also hold a monthly MMA tournament at the new facility.

“I was overwhelmed by the huge crowd mostly composed of children and teenagers who visited and took part in the opening of Cebu City Sports Institute’s new full-contact sports facilities,” Hayco told CDN.

Also yesterday, lone female MMA fighter of YawYan ArDigma, Angel “Lawin” Sanchez and 11-year Ken Caniga demonstrated various grappling and striking techniques.

Hayco said children and teenagers who want to learn various contact sports at the CCSI like MMA, boxing, karatedo and arnis, could either pursue their dream to become a full pledged fighter or just to stay fit and learn self defense.
