Two dead in road accidents

TWO men were killed and five people were injured in separate accidents in Cebu province over the weekend.

In Bogo, Arion Ortega Ancot, 40, didn’t reach the hospital alive after he fell from the motorcycle he was riding on in barangay Guadalupe Saturday dawn.

Ancot was a backrider to Bryan Bercero, 35, who police said was drunk and did not see a pothole. They were not wearing helmets.

Another accident in barangay Dawis Norte, Carmen also killed Allan Matuga, 39, who was hit by a motorcycle at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Matuga disembarked from a jeepney and immediately crossed the street as the motorcycle was coming. The motorcycle driver who hit him was also injured.
