TWO men were killed and five people were injured in separate accidents in Cebu province over the weekend.
In Bogo, Arion Ortega Ancot, 40, didn’t reach the hospital alive after he fell from the motorcycle he was riding on in barangay Guadalupe Saturday dawn.
Ancot was a backrider to Bryan Bercero, 35, who police said was drunk and did not see a pothole. They were not wearing helmets.
Another accident in barangay Dawis Norte, Carmen also killed Allan Matuga, 39, who was hit by a motorcycle at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Matuga disembarked from a jeepney and immediately crossed the street as the motorcycle was coming. The motorcycle driver who hit him was also injured.
Also last Saturday, a delivery van rammed to the house of Rodolfo Cuezon, 72, in barangay Azucena, Barili at 4 a.m.
Eutemio Pesalbon, 29, fell asleep while driving. His truck helpers Ronnie Mibato, 19 and Raymond dela Rama, 26, were wounded.
Still in Barili, a four-year-old boy was hurt in the head after he was hit by a motorcycle driven by Lawrence Trinidad, 18, in barangay Sta. Ana.
Trinidad reported the incident to the police while the child is being treated at the hospital.
