Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc. has a new ally in promoting financial literacy: world renowned industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue.
Sun Life’s partnership with Cobonpue was launched recently at the Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu and was attended by Sun Life’s top executives and Financial Advisors.
This is the first time that Cobonpue is endorsing a financial brand. “Sun Life has been in the Philippines for a long time and is known for its quality products and services. The way Sun Life nurtures its business is very much aligned with how I take care of my own brand – by valuing quality, integrity, and legacy,” he said. “My pieces carry all these values. I don’t design just for the present. I look at them as treasures that can be passed on from one generation to the next – just like Sun Life’s products.”
He shared that even the members of his team believe in the company.
Cobonpue, known globally for his unique designs created with locally-sourced materials, will be Sun Life’s brand ambassador in Cebu, where the designer is based. He is already looking forward to contributing to Sun Life’s efforts to promote financial literacy, especially since it’s something he also advocates for among his 400 employees.
With Cobonpue on board, Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa is confident that the company will be able to boost its advocacy in Cebu.
